Enlightened thinking on information environments

Searchlighter was founded towards the end of 2008 to work for an enhanced research and scholarly communications environment with processes that reflect its value in the stimulation of new research at an international level.

Searchlighter offers this perspective at the meeting points between the researchers, their institutions, research funders, publishers and librarians, finding new solutions for the environment it seeks. For this, it looks to develop both current and alternative options in research communications, and especially in ways to process, publish, gather. present, disseminate and access the results of research.

Searchlighter is open to work on projects with groups or individuals who hold a stake in maintaining an effective research communications environment including projects that focus on, but are not necessarily exclusive to, repositories, publishing, and open-access areas of research communication.

We hope visitors will explore our site and contact us with their thoughts, ideas and proposals concerning these areas of our work.
